Responsibilities
Summary
Provides reentry case management and customer service support for Re-Entry Center designed to engage and promote success of participants in the community. Performs accountability and progress check-ins, administrative support, and assists case managers with case coordination and documentation. Learns, uses and models principles of the “What Works” system through evidence-based practices in all interactions with participants and other staff members in order to promote successful completion of reentry services
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Documents progress and accountability check-ins with all participants entering the facility and provides a positive, engaging presence designed to promote rapport building and mutual respect. May complete drug screens according to assigned random schedule for each client check-in.
- May perform sobriety testing via breath analysis and drug testing on participants who enter the facility for any purpose and document results for case-management purposes.
- Completes initial intake process with participants, including intake paperwork, input into Company database, and assignment of groups and other services designed to support participants needs.
- Provides general office administration duties, including answering phones.
- Provides general customer service to all who enter the facility, including participants, customers, visitors and the general public.
- Assists case managers with case coordination, communication with appropriate official agencies, and preparation and distribution of reports.
- Files, prepares charts and performs data entry as assigned to manage progress and compliance with program expectations.
- Responsible for office opening and closing procedures as assigned.
- May facilitate orientation and psycho-educational/behavior modification groups as assigned. Documents participants’ attendance, participation and progress in Company database and shares same with Company staff to ensure case coordination.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Two (2) years college coursework in Human Services or business discipline preferred.
- Valid Driver’s license preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work preferred.
- Minimum of six months experience in Human Services field with direct participant services preferred.
- Minimum of six months experience working with minority populations preferred.
- Effective customer service skills.
- Effective communication skills with internal and external contacts at all levels.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective computer skills and proficiency with MS Word and Excel
- Basic database skills; Basic math skills.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) skills may be required.
