Job Overview
The Enterprise Legal, Risk, and Compliance Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and analytical support for Legal, Risk, and Compliance programs, including liability claims, workers' compensation administration, jurisdictional licensing, insurance compliance, and litigation support activities. This position serves as a key coordinator between internal stakeholders, internal and external claim administrators, attorneys, insurance partners, regulatory agencies, and business units to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
Highlights of your role
- Ensuring compliance with established internal control procedures through examination of records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
- Coordinating jurisdictional licensing requirements, including Home Improvement Licenses, contractor registrations, permits, and other state, provincial, and local regulatory licenses.
- Supporting workers' compensation claims administration, reporting, data collection, claim monitoring, and communication with third-party administrators and internal stakeholders.
- Managing legal retention processes regarding file maintenance, retention, and destruction.
- Interfacing with internal subject matter experts, attorneys, insurance carriers, claim administrators, and regulatory agencies as directed.
- Supporting various administrative and reporting functions relating to Marvin's Enterprise Risk Information Management System (Origami Risk).
- Assisting in claims investigations, litigation support, and insurance compliance processes across the organization.
Essential Job Functions
Claims & Litigation Support
- Assist with the administration and coordination of product liability, general liability, property damage, and workers' compensation claims.
- Support claim investigations through collection, organization, and maintenance of claim-related documentation and evidence.
- Gather and maintain product information, claim records, incident reports, and supporting documentation for claims and litigation matters.
- Review, summarize, and maintain claim, litigation, and insurance-related documents as directed.
- Coordinate communication between internal stakeholders, outside counsel, insurers, claim administrators, and other third parties.
- Track litigation deadlines, document requests, and legal hold requirements.
- Maintain organized file retention, recordkeeping, and document management practices.
Workers' Compensation Administration
- Coordinate workers' compensation claim intake and reporting processes.
- Monitor claim status updates and maintain accurate claim records within applicable systems.
- Partner with Human Resources, Safety, Operations, and third-party administrators regarding claim activity and return-to-work documentation.
- Assist with workers' compensation reporting, audits, claim trends, and loss analysis.
- Support the collection and submission of required documentation for workers' compensation matters.
- Prepare recurring workers' compensation metrics and dashboards for leadership review.
Jurisdictional Licensing & Regulatory Compliance
- Manage residential contractor licensing, home improvement licensing, permit applications, renewals, and registrations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Track licensing deadlines and renewal requirements to ensure continuous regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with business units, government agencies, and external vendors to obtain required documentation and approvals.
- Maintain centralized records of all licenses, permits, registrations, bonds, and related regulatory documentation.
- Monitor changes in jurisdictional licensing requirements and communicate impacts to affected business partners.
- Support audits and compliance reviews related to licensing, permits, and regulatory obligations.
Risk Management Information Systems Administration
- Manage incoming Origami Risk & other legal, risk, and compliance change request ticketing processes, including assigning tickets, monitoring completion status, and maintaining ticket records.
- Develop and distribute recurring ticket analytics and performance reporting for leadership.
- Provide user support, training, troubleshooting, and access management for Origami Risk and other legal, risk, and compliance systems.
- Assist in maintaining data quality, reporting accuracy, and system functionality.
- Support system testing, enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.

Required
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Legal Studies, Human Resources, or related field; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in insurance, claims administration, workers' compensation, risk management, licensing administration, legal support, compliance, or related field.
Preferred
- Experience supporting workers' compensation claims and third-party administrator relationships.
- Experience managing contractor licensing, permitting, or regulatory compliance programs.
- Experience working with litigation management, insurance claims, or risk management information systems.
- Strong knowledge of insurance, risk management, claims handling, and regulatory compliance practices.
- Self-directed with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
