About This Role:
As the Product Lead, Ophthalmology, you will serve as the single point of accountability in Global Product Strategy & Commercialization to maximize the value creation potential of an ophthalmology product for a retinal disease. You will be accountable for overseeing and providing leadership to an integrated cross-functional team to enable geographic expansion into new markets and develop and execute global lifecycle management plans for both new and existing markets.
Additionally, you will be accountable to deliver and execute against strategic priorities to enable sustained market growth, plan and manage against an annual operating budget, and drive a highly effective team performance that spans Commercialization functions, Development, and PO&T across Regions.
What You’ll Do:
- Enable geographic expansion to key identified markets working with the Regions’ commercial teams, particularly with respect to Brazil, China and Japan.
- Identify additional opportunities for geographic expansion and develop business cases for internal review/approval
- Develop robust global lifecycle management plans
- Drive engagement and alignment across functions and regions to enable delivery of program priorities
- Monitor external environment and competition to refine product strategy amidst changing market dynamics

Required Skills:
- 12+ years of experience in a commercial and/or business function in the biopharma industry
- Marketing competence and understanding of go-to market considerations, access considerations and commercial P&L
- Strong cross-functional leadership, planning and organization, analytics, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience in managing, leading, coaching, and developing effective teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in ophthalmology and retinal diseases preferred
