Employee Benefits Client Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Employee Benefits Client Manager to join a growing team. With over 104 years of history, privately held, family-run organization that values collaboration, professional growth, and a supportive work environment. This role offers the opportunity to work with a middle-market book of business, providing exceptional service to the clients while contributing to the success of a rapidly expanding company. The position is hybrid after six months for employees in good standing, with three days onsite and two days remote.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 (up to $110,000 for highly qualified candidates)
- Bonus: Company-wide bonus based on top-line performance ($500-$1,500), with additional earning potential for professional designations (e.g., CEBS, REBCS)
- Professional Development: Cost of certifications and continuing education fully covered
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package available upon request
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client questions, claims support, and compliance documentation
- Manage client engagement, renewals, and plan design for a middle-market book of business
- Collaborate with a team of 11 colleagues on the benefits team to ensure client satisfaction
- Utilize the Applied Epic agency management system and other tools such as Employee Navigator, Paylocity, and Paychex
- Maintain strong relationships with top carriers and ensure seamless service delivery
- Support the growth and retention of accounts, averaging 100 lives per account
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven experience in employee benefits management, with a focus on middle-market accounts
- Familiarity with agency management systems such as Applied Epic; experience with Employee Navigator is a plus
- Strong knowledge of benefits compliance and plan design
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to professional growth, including obtaining relevant designations (e.g., CEBS, REBCS)
