This Position reports to:
Project Planning & Control ManagerIn this role, you will lead planning, scheduling, and project control activities across all phases of large and complex projects, working closely with the Project Manager. You will maintain and analyze actual and forecasted schedules, costs, revenues, cash inflows and outflows, as well as project risks, opportunities, and OPQ. You will proactively monitor, report, and manage project deviations, ensuring timely corrective actions. The role also involves supporting the development of planning capabilities within the local unit, identifying potential risks and deviations at an early stage, and recommending improvements to planning and control tools, processes, and methodologies.

This role is contributing to the to the Quality Division for INOPC based in Bangalore, India You will be mainly accountable for:

Analyzes project requirements with the project team and checks that all essential work activities have been identified in sufficient detail to serve as a basis for developing realistic project schedules.
Defines, jointly with the project team, project work and cost breakdown structure, properly develops and maintains linked, required resource loaded/integrated along with the baseline and current schedules that provide time-phased baseline, actual and forecast data for the project.
Monitors project progress and regularly analyze project critical paths to ensure all critical path activities and project milestones are progressed to the plan, notifies Project Managers of any deviations or scheduling issues, and provides input for optimizing resources.
Issues progress reports, program updates, and productivity data on a regular basis and as requested by customers and stakeholders.
Advises and coaches junior Planning and Control Specialists in the unit on planning and scheduling topics.
Suggest improvements to processes and tools.

Qualifications for the role:
5+ years of experience as a Planning Engineer or Lead Planning Engineer.
Strong expertise in project planning, scheduling, and data analytics using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
Good understanding of project management processes, project lifecycle, and schedule management.
Hands-on experience in Cost Control, Earned Value Management (EVM), and project performance tracking.
Strong analytical, data management, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; PMP certification will be an added advantage.
