You are comfortable operating through influence, navigating complexity, and aligning multiple stakeholders around a shared objective.
And most importantly: you want to be part of a culture of problem-solving, smart, and collaborative team members who are committed to producing innovative and exciting work that helps grow and engage audiences throughout our global footprint.
Reporting to the Managing Director, Customer Growth, Segments & Partnerships, the Senior Manager serves as the steward of BMO’s most meaningful distribution partnerships: shaping how the bank shows up, builds trust, and delivers value over time. This role carries end‑to‑end accountability, guiding partnerships from first engagement through enduring execution, with a focus on alignment, momentum, and long‑horizon impact.
As a senior face of the bank, this role represents BMO with credibility and conviction, cultivating long‑term, trust‑based relationships with priority partners. Working fluidly across Product, Marketing, Distribution, and other Lines of Business, the Senior Manager translates partnership ambition into executable reality-balancing enterprise considerations with partner needs. - Develop compelling value propositions through strategic partnerships, grounded in customer relevance, differentiation, and commercial sustainability
- Serve as the steward of BMO’s most consequential partnerships, shaping how the bank engages, builds trust, and delivers value over time
- Act as the integrating force across partnership‑oriented teams, ensuring coherence, continuity, and enterprise alignment across shared partners
- Orchestrate the organization around partners: aligning priorities, sequencing commitments, and ensuring disciplined follow‑through
- Originate and evolve partnership opportunities through deep relationships, market presence, and pattern recognition rather than transactional deal‑making
- Guide partnerships from ambition to maturity, navigating complexity and preserving trust at critical inflection points
- Represent BMO externally with credibility, discretion, and a long‑term, enterprise mindset
- Anticipate shifts in partner context and needs, surfacing insights that inform prioritization and future direction
- Partner with Marketing and Customer analytics, to analyze business and marketing data to identify key drivers, mechanics, and associated dependencies for driving conversion, product adoption, retention, and cross-sell
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
You have:
- 7-10 years relevant Consulting, partnerships and/or product adjacent roles in banking or Customer focused industries
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic partnerships that require coordination across multiple stakeholders and functions
- Strong analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to assess trade‑offs, economics, and scalability
- Proven ability to influence and lead diverse, cross‑functional groups; experienced change agent
- Master’s Degree (MBA preferred)
You might also have:
- Strong relationship development and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and resolving competing priorities
- Results‑oriented mindset with a focus on impact and outcomes
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
