Quality Assurance Manager

Overview

Quality Assurance Manager will lead our Quality Assurance function across Product Delivery function. This role is responsible for defining and delivering the QA strategy, managing testing roadmaps, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring high standards of quality throughout the software development lifecycle. The role combines people leadership, delivery oversight, quality governance, and strategic planning to enable the successful delivery of high-quality digital products.

Your Role

Roles & Responsibilities

Quality Strategy

• Define and maintain the Quality Assurance strategy, standards, and operating model.
• Lead the implementation and optimisation of test automation frameworks and tooling.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve test efficiency, quality, and delivery velocity.
• Promote shift-left testing, DevOps, CI/CD, and quality engineering practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and ways of working.
• Drive adoption of modern testing approaches, automation frameworks, and quality engineering practices.
• Establish metrics and KPIs to measure quality, efficiency, and delivery outcomes.

Delivery & Quality Governance

• Own the QA roadmap, ensuring alignment with product, engineering, and business priorities.
• Oversee testing activities across multiple products, platforms, and delivery teams.
• Ensure appropriate test coverage across functional, integration, performance, security, accessibility, and user acceptance testing.
• Manage risks, dependencies, defects, and quality issues throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Provide leadership and assurance on release readiness and production quality.
• Lead accessibility testing activities, including automated, manual, and assistive technology testing.

Team Development

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Quality Analysts providing direction, coaching and regular feedback to support their growth and career progression.
• Conduct performance reviews, objective setting, development planning and regular one-to-one meetings, ensuring team members are supported to achieve their goals.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing design culture that encourages innovation, knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and retention of QA talent, helping to build a diverse and capable design function.
• Create opportunities for Quality Analysts to develop new skills, take ownership of their work, and progress their careers through coaching, mentoring and stretch assignments.

• Experience leading Quality Assurance teams in agile product or software delivery environments.
• Proven track record of managing QA functions, testing strategies, and delivery roadmaps.
• Experience driving quality transformation, automation adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
• Leadership and people management.
