Summary
Lead the SAP Warehouse Management (WM) functional workstream across implementation, rollout, enhancement, and support initiatives. Drive solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of warehouse and logistics processes. Act as a key bridge between business stakeholders, project teams, and technical teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and integrated SAP WM solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead SAP WM functional activities across implementation, rollout, enhancement, and production support projects.
Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP WM solutions.
Conduct business workshops, fit-gap analysis, process assessments, and solution design sessions.
Drive warehouse process standardization and SAP best practices.
Configure and maintain SAP WM functionalities, including:
Warehouse structure
Storage types and sections
Storage bins and bin management
Putaway and picking strategies
Replenishment
Inventory management
Physical inventory
Transfer orders
Handling units
RF processes
Design and optimize inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse processes.
Manage integration between SAP WM and MM, SD, PP, QM, LE, and EWM/S/4HANA where applicable.
Collaborate with ABAP, middleware, and interface teams for enhancements and integrations.
Lead end-to-end project activities, including requirement gathering, solution design, build/configuration, SIT/UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
Manage project timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables.
Engage with warehouse operations, supply chain, procurement, and business leadership to understand requirements and provide solution recommendations.
Provide regular project and delivery status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
Lead and mentor SAP WM consultants and analysts.
Review functional specifications, solution designs, and related project documentation.
Allocate work and monitor delivery quality across the functional team.
Support capability development, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Prepare and maintain FDDs, BRDs, configuration documents, test scripts, and training materials.
Support SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and production deployment activities.
Resolve critical production issues and perform root cause analysis.
Identify and implement opportunities for warehouse process optimization and continuous improvement.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Strong hands-on experience in SAP Warehouse Management (WM).
Strong understanding of warehouse and logistics business processes, including inbound, outbound, putaway, picking, replenishment, inventory management, and physical inventory.
Hands-on experience with SAP WM configuration and solution design.
Good understanding of SAP integration with MM, SD, PP, QM, and LE.
Experience working with EWM and/or S/4HANA warehouse processes is an added advantage.
Experience with RF processes, handling units, transfer orders, and warehouse execution processes.
Strong experience in requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, functional design, testing, and implementation.
Experience working with ABAP, middleware, and interface teams for functional enhancements and integrations.
Strong understanding of SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to lead functional teams, mentor consultants, and manage multiple priorities.
Strong documentation skills with experience preparing FDDs, BRDs, configuration documents, and test scripts.
Additional Information:
This role requires strong collaboration with business stakeholders, project teams, technical teams, and cross-functional SAP teams.
The candidate should be comfortable working in implementation, rollout, enhancement, and production support environments.
Strong ownership, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
Experience in leading SAP WM workstreams and managing end-to-end delivery is preferred.
The role may involve supporting multiple warehouses, business units, or geographical locations depending on project requirements.
Willingness to support critical production issues and project activities during key deployment and go-live periods is expected.
This position is intended for a senior SAP WM functional professional capable of independently driving the workstream and providing functional leadership.
