ChristianaCare's Endocrinology practice at Wilmington is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant II with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills.
Our Endocrinology team has the experience and expertise to successfully diagnose any endocrine conditions, help develop treatment and management plans for our patients. Endocrinology is the study of hormones and endocrine glands and organs. Hormone-secreting glands and certain organs in your body make up your endocrine system.

The Senior Medical Assistant is responsible for delivering and maintaining quality patient care. Assist providers in the examination and treatment of patients with virtual and on-site appointments. To operate as a team leader and mentor of office staff in the practice to facilitate functions and duties.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
No weekends or holidays.

Duties / Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They ensure adequate coverage within the practice due to staff shortage, participates in new hire orientation and other educational initiatives for staff as per directed by supervisor. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access and orders and maintains office clinical supplies and equipment
Position Qualifications:
High School Graduate or Equivalent required.
A graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program or
Hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant is required; 3 years’ experience is preferred

Hourly Pay Range: $19.84 - $29.76This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
