Description
On behalf of Our client, Manpower Malta is seeking an experienced and commercially minded legal professional to join and help grow its Yachting & Aviation practice. This is a senior-level opportunity for a warranted lawyer who combines strong technical expertise with a business development mindset and the ambition to play a key role in the expansion of the practice.
The successful candidate will advise local and international clients on a broad range of legal and transactional matters, while actively contributing to new business generation, client relationship management, and the strategic development of the firm's yachting and aviation offering. Over time, the individual will have the opportunity to lead, mentor, and build a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, and transactional matters.
- Handle and oversee matters relating to yacht and aircraft ownership, registration, financing, acquisition, leasing, operation, and regulatory compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and transactional documentation.
- Support and manage complex corporate transactions, restructurings, and cross-border matters.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities within the yachting, aviation, and related sectors.
- Represent clients before regulatory authorities and relevant stakeholders where required.
- Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the practice area.
- Mentor junior legal professionals and support the future establishment and expansion of the team.
Requirements
- Warranted Lawyer in Malta.
- Minimum of 5+ years' post-qualification experience within a reputable law firm or corporate legal environment.
- Strong background in legal advisory, corporate, commercial, and transactional law.
- Experience in yachting and/or aviation law is highly desirable.
- Aviation law experience will be considered a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and develop business opportunities.
- Commercially aware with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proven leadership potential and a desire to build and lead a growing practice.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages will be considered an asset.
