Description
Lead a team of Director of Product Analysts (DPAs) responsible for product development and product analysis resources across the Specialty portfolio and provide P&L leadership support for Pet and Watercraft. This role combines people leadership, business ownership, and portfolio strategy, ensuring the organization has the analytical, product management, and execution capabilities needed to achieve specialty growth and profitability objectives. In addition to leading and developing a team of product professionals, the role serves as a flexible leadership resource responsible for advancing cross-portfolio priorities, driving strategic initiatives, and supporting evolving business needs across Specialty.
• Leads a team of DPAs and their associated product development and product analysis analysts, providing strategic direction, talent development, performance management, and prioritization across the Specialty portfolio.
• Support P&L leaders for Pet and Watercraft lines
• Exhibits strong leadership skills while promoting collaboration across all functions.
• Oversees DPA and Analyst recruitment efforts, fostering strong relationships with Recruiting, the ADP, and organizational peers to maintain a continuous talent pipeline.
• Demonstrates intellectual curiosity by identifying trends and underlying issues, ensuring the team utilizes advanced analytical resources for effective problem-solving.
• Communicates complex financial and actuarial data to diverse audiences, tailoring messages for clarity and impact.
• Drives employee engagement by fostering a collaborative culture, supporting talent mobility, and ensuring effective development and performance management for all staff.
• Sponsors complex projects aimed at driving transformative change within Specialty and across aligned partners.
• Collaborates with the Manager of Specialty to establish and execute key departmental priorities as needed.
• Serves as a flexible leadership resource to support changing business needs, organizational transitions, and high-priority
• Partners with Specialty leadership to define and execute portfolio strategy, balancing near-term business performance with longer-term investments and initiatives to drive sustainable growth and profitability across the portfolio. initiatives requiring dedicated portfolio-level ownership.
Qualifications
- Highly developed quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability to influence other leaders across an organization 10+ years progressively responsible work experience in an analytically driven environment
- Previous experience in consulting or call center / customer service analytics in insurance or financial services preferred but not required
- MBA or advanced degree in quantitative field preferred but not required
