The Marketing and Product team has ambitious goals to advance AGF's digital transformation and modernize the way we engage with clients, advisors and prospects. By leveraging marketing technology, data and automation, the team delivers personalized digital experiences, improves operational efficiency, and enables data-driven marketing across the organization.
About the Role:
AGF is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Marketing Technology Specialist to support the day-to-day operation and evolution of our marketing technology ecosystem.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Technology, this role is responsible for executing and supporting digital marketing operations, campaign enablement, reporting and platform administration activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring AGF's marketing technologies are operating effectively, data is accurate and reliable, and marketing teams have the tools and support required to deliver impactful campaigns. This role works closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, IT, Compliance and external vendors to support marketing technology initiatives and enhance the effectiveness of AGF's digital marketing capabilities. This is a 12-month contract to cover a maternity leave.
Your Responsibilities
Marketing Technology Administration
- Support the administration, configuration and maintenance of AGF's marketing technology platforms.
- Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot issues in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
- Assist with system upgrades, enhancements and configuration changes.
- Maintain platform documentation, user guides and operating procedures.
- Administer user access, permissions and platform governance processes.
Campaign Enablement & Marketing Automation
- Build and execute marketing automation workflows, customer journeys and email campaigns.
- Support audience segmentation, list management and campaign targeting activities.
- Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure campaigns function as intended prior to deployment.
- Assist with campaign deployment and post-launch validation.
- Support personalization, lead nurturing and automated communication initiatives.
User Support & Training
- Serve as a primary point of contact for marketing technology support requests.
- Provide guidance and training to business users on marketing technology tools and processes.
- Support onboarding and training activities for new platform users.
- Develop and maintain training materials and knowledge documentation.
- Promote platform best practices and standards across the organization.
Process Optimization
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and consistency of marketing operations processes.
- Support testing and implementation of new platform features and capabilities.
- Assist in documenting business requirements and technical specifications.
- Stay informed on marketing technology trends, platform updates and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, Digital Media, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Relevant certifications in marketing automation, CRM, analytics or digital marketing technologies are considered an asset.
- 2-5 years of experience supporting marketing technology, marketing operations, digital marketing or CRM platforms.
- Experience executing email marketing, automation or digital marketing campaigns.
- Experience working with marketing automation, CRM, analytics or content management systems.
- Experience building reports and analyzing marketing performance data.
- Experience working with data management and system integrations is considered an asset.
- Experience within financial services or another regulated industry is considered an asset.
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with marketing automation and customer engagement platforms such as Cvent, Seismic Enablement Cloud, wordpress or other CMS
- Experience with CRM systems and digital marketing technologies such as SFMC and/or Pardot.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Experience with reporting and analytics tools.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel and SharePoint Online.
- Understanding of digital marketing concepts including email marketing, lead management, audience segmentation and campaign measurement.

Compensation
The anticipated compensation range for this role is $72,500 – $82,500 annually, which represents base salary and, where applicable, variable compensation components (e.g., annual bonus, commissions, etc.). Actual compensation will be determined based on many factors such as role location, candidate experience / qualifications, market conditions, and internal equity.
