The practice has genuine strength in breadth and depth – from heavyweight development and complex joint ventures through to asset management, with a first class offering in planning, real estate litigation, real estate finance, construction, M&A, funds structuring and tax. The group comprises some of the most highly regarded real estate practitioners in the UK, many of whom are recommended by renowned legal directories as leaders in their field. The client list reveals the group's connections with serious real estate players who help to shape the real estate market, and the practice's international breadth assists in advising those clients who are not based in or familiar with investing in the UK.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Ability

• Has a comprehensive working knowledge of relevant specialist areas of law.

• Has project and client management responsibility, ensuring timely delivery to high quality standards.

• Stays aware of legal developments affecting any specialist areas and regularly attends appropriate training sessions.

• Has good working relationships with clients

• Has responsibility for actively managing client projects to ensure profitability, quality and strong client relationships.

• Actively works to develop and strengthen new client relationships

• Acts as a source of advice to others, sharing knowledge and expertise

• Understands the industry and market in which the practice team and clients operate

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a Senior Associate with between 5 and 9 years PQE (or equivalent experience), who has significant experience in transactional real estate matters and real estate finance transactions.   Ideally their experience will have been gained at a leading City or regional firm. It is essential that the candidate has a strong academic background (minimum 2.1 degree) with excellent written communication and drafting skills. The successful candidate will also have outstanding technical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues, have experience of managing an independent case load and working as a member of a larger team.
