Application Development Technology Lead Analyst

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Application Development Technology Lead Analyst for its Jersey City, NJ location.

 

DUTIES: Design, architect, and implement enterprise scale data engineering solutions supporting large scale financial data processing, regulatory reporting, and the operationalization of AI/ML models in a global financial services environment. Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of programs and systems. Analyze information processing or computation needs and plan, design, and implement computer systems using techniques such as structured analysis, data modeling, and information engineering. Develop high performance, automated data and machine learning pipelines using big data frameworks to ingest, transform, and validate large volumes of structured and unstructured data from diverse sources. Use object-oriented programming languages, client-server application development processes, and multimedia and Internet technologies. Write code to perform desired system actions. Build and maintain data lakes, data warehouses, and feature stores, and implement batch, near real time, and event driven data architectures. Determine computer software or hardware requirements needed to set up or modify systems. Expand or modify systems to serve new purposes or improve workflow efficiency. Coordinate and link computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and enable information sharing. Apply advanced programming and artificial intelligence techniques, including natural language processing for data enrichment and anomaly detection for data quality assurance. Use computers in the analysis and solution of business problems, including development of integrated production, inventory control, and cost analysis systems. Work with cross functional teams to translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant data and AI solutions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of enterprise data used for reporting and decision making processes. Confer with clients regarding the nature of information processing or computational needs addressed by computer programs. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation performing applications programming and data engineering. Six (6) years of experience must include: Designing, developing, and maintaining ETL workflows using the Ab Initio ETL Suite, and implementing distributed data processing solutions using Apache Spark / PySpark and Hadoop ecosystem tools (Hive, HDFS, YARN); Developing and supporting production grade applications and data pipelines using Python and Java, and writing complex SQL and PL/SQL queries for relational databases such as Oracle; Developing, training, and validating machine learning and deep learning models using frameworks including, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit learn, including applying Natural Language Processing techniques; Designing and implementing solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompt engineering and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures; Building and supporting real time data pipelines using Apache Kafka and developing RESTful APIs for system integration; and Managing source code using distributed version control systems and tracking development tasks using issue tracking tools. 40 hrs./wk.
