YOUR LIFE AS A RESTAURANT / COUNTRY CLUB HOST

This full-time customer service position in hospitality works a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

As a Restaurant / Country Club Host, you ensure that each and every member feels welcomed and at home at our country club by delivering friendly, first-class customer service. With a warm smile, you engage with each member who approaches the host stand and offer your assistance. You seat all members at our restaurant as they arrive and process any waitlist requests. With your vast food and beverage knowledge, you are able to explain our ingredient offerings, methods of preparation, and menu listings to our members as well as respond to any questions as needed.

In addition, you support other team members and managers with our premium guest services. Throughout the course of the day, you assist with the setup and breakdown of our dining area as well as ensure that the overall club environment is presentable. You monitor all hospitality areas, including our food and beverage storage, to make sure they are kept clean and are in compliance with safety guidelines. As issues arise, you communicate them to management in a timely manner and ensure they are taken care of promptly. You also participate in all scheduled meetings and training. Working as part of a food service team to keep our country club running smoothly brings you great fulfillment, and this is why you are a perfect addition to our hospitality crew!

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Deep knowledge about wine, liquor, beer, and food service
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods of time as well as lift and move up to 25 pounds
• Excellent customer service skills
• Phone etiquette due to being responsible for to-go orders

Experience hosting or working for a club is preferred. Basic computer knowledge would be a plus but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
