The Senior Principal Architecture Consultant is a highly skilled and deep subject matter expert who is responsible for managing the execution of architecture consulting across all organizational technology domains.
This role manages the implementation strategies and solutions across all aspects of infrastructure, technology domains and related technology components.
The Senior Principal Architecture Consultant performs and manages the delivery of multi-technology consulting services to clients and makes decisions related to the development of the architectural approach for multiple layers of large and complex solutions.
This role contributes to the development of the information technology infrastructure.
- Manages the relevant information technology architecture.
- Assists the senior internal team with the formulation and setting of the strategic direction of architecture consulting.
- Provides recommendations related to the direction of architecture consulting.
- Performs and manages the maintenance of a consolidated internal consulting services assessment roadmap.
- Drives consulting engagements, to support roadmap and business case development.
- Manages change management strategies that enables the migration from current to future architectures.
- Contributes to the development of relevant information technology architecture in order to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Guides and mentors less experienced consultants within the team.
- Manages continuous improvement of internal tools and methods.
- Assists the pre-sales process with translating opportunities into solutions.
- Manages the sale of large and complex solutions and services.
- Maintains technical expertise by researching emerging enterprise architecture methodologies and the best practices associated with them.
- Contributes to the development of new services to take to market, information on relevant vertical markets and keep up to date on developments in specific technology domains.
- Provides technical expertise related to multi-technology design best practices.
- Contributes to the development of business plans for the organization’s consulting practices.
- Leads and promotes knowledge of reference architectures during the whole consulting lifecycle.
- Technical knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs.
- Excellent understanding of multi-technology infrastructure design couple with strategic thinking ability.
- Knowledge on multi-technology infrastructure design best practice which enables them to act as trusted advisors to clients on optimal infrastructure designs.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Solid knowledge of systems, software and programing languages.
- Ability to focus on detail with an understanding of how it impacts the business strategically.
- Excellent client service orientation.
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to establish and manage processes and practices through collaboration and the understanding of business.
- Ability to create new and repeat business for the organization.
- Ability to contribute information on relevant vertical markets.
- Ability to contribute to the improvement of internal effectiveness by contributing to the improvement of current methodologies, processes and tools.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology and/or Business Management or a related field.
- Scaled Agile certification desirable.
- Relevant consulting and technical certifications preferred, for example TOGAF.
- Significant technical experience in a similar role within a large scale (preferably multi- national) technology services environment.
- Significant multi-technology infrastructure design experience.
- Significant technical expertise coupled with consulting and client engagement experience, demonstrating good experience in client needs assessment and change management.
