We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Customer Service Analyst to support and coordinate the outsourcing of manufacturing work to outside suppliers. This position is responsible for managing outsourced jobs from initial release through completion, including purchase orders, materials, transportation, reporting, and communication with Production Control and outside suppliers.
The Customer Service Analyst plays a key role in ensuring outsourced work is properly planned, released, tracked, and completed according to production priorities, customer requirements, and established timelines. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively coordinate multiple jobs and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Compensation & Schedule
Pay Range: : $ 55,000-70,000 per year (Starting rate commensurate with experience)
First Shift
- Monday – Thursday- 7:00AM-4:30PM & Friday- 7:00AM-11:AM
Key Responsibilities
- Open jobs that are designated to be processed by outside suppliers.
- Issue purchase orders tied to outsourced jobs.
- Coordinate trucking and transportation of completed outsourced purchase orders.
- Work closely with Production Control to ensure outsourcing priorities and customer requirements are met.
- Assist in identifying new parts or processes that may be appropriate for outsourcing.
- Work with Production Control and plant personnel to evaluate outsourcing opportunities.
- Make temporary job or routing changes when a permanent system change has not yet been completed.
- Monitor outsourced jobs to ensure suppliers are meeting required schedules and priorities.
- Order -40 material required for outsourced jobs.
- Coordinate the transfer of sheet material between plants when necessary.
- Order purchased blanks required for outsourced production.
- Monitor material availability and communicate potential shortages or delays.
- Maintain accurate records of outsourced jobs, purchase orders, materials, and supplier status.
- Work with outside suppliers to obtain job status, completion dates, and other necessary information.
- Identify and communicate issues that may affect production schedules or customer commitments.
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute weekly and monthly outsourcing reports for the Leadership Team.
- Analyze outsourcing activity and information to help identify opportunities for improved efficiency, cost, lead time, and capacity.
- Maintain effective working relationships with Production Control, Purchasing, suppliers, transportation providers, and plant personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production control, purchasing, scheduling, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple jobs, purchase orders, materials, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work effectively with internal departments and outside suppliers.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to learn and effectively use ERP and manufacturing systems.
- Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret reports.
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to prioritize work and respond to changing customer and production requirements.
