General Position Description: Provides supervision and oversight of programs and staff within the Blake Behavioral Health program. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Oversees provision of clinical services, ensuring they comply with contractual and regulatory requirements. 
2. Monitors the quality of work and adherence to program and personnel policies and provides feedback to staff through audits, reviews, and staff meetings. 
3. Provides assessment, clinical evaluation, and treatment plans as needed for children and families with complex mental health needs and coordinates services for individuals and families, including crisis intervention.  
4. Coordinates service provision and collaboration with community partners. 
5. Develops, monitors, and signs member service plans, assessments, and risk assessments.  
6. Provides individual, family, and/or group counseling based on needs determined by the Clinical Director and EBF policies. 
7. Oversees the coordination with the treatment team, facilitates Child and Family Team and Adult Recovery Team meetings to review progress/barriers and determine the appropriateness of services and medical necessity of services. 
8. Attends and participates in all professional meetings, clinical staffings, and maintains confidentiality of client and staff information. 
9. Provides comprehensive intakes, assessments, annual assessments, and offers therapeutic and support services as needed. 
10. Coordinates communication between the members and other providers or community agencies to ensure coordination of care as needed. This includes assisting with scheduling appointments, attending telemed appointments, arranging transportation, conducting CFTs and ARTS, and coordinating with the hospital for d/c appointments. 
11. Provide a broad range of administrative and supervisory functions. Supervises assigned staff in accordance with EBF personnel practices including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and day to day scheduling. Participates in the process of ongoing professional development. Maintains comprehensive communication among all contacts within the agency, members, and external agencies. Models professional standards and ethics in accordance with EBF Code of Conduct, Strategic Plan, Mission, and Vision. 
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements: Associate license in social work, counseling, marriage and family, or substance abuse recognized by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners with 2 years of supervisory experience required. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Regulatory 

1. Must be at least 21 years of age. 
2. Current, unrestricted AZ driver’s license with no more than two (2) minor moving violations or one (1) accident within the past three (3 years). Three (3) years of driving experience required.
3. Transportation for daily visits, to attend trainings, and perform other work-related activities. Organizational vehicles may not be available at all times. 
4. Must be able to pass a criminal background check prior to employment and regular checks for the duration of the employment.
5. Ability to obtain and maintain an AZ DPS Level 1 fingerprint clearance card (employer provides).
6. CPR and First Aid certification (Employer provides).
7. Satisfactorily Completed Competency Checklist within 3 months of hire.

Skills/Job Knowledge/Abilities: Must have a strong clinical knowledge of development across the life span, and knowledge of best practices when working with diverse populations with trauma backgrounds.  Extensive knowledge of managed care systems, AHCCCS/Title XIX medical assistance screening, and ADHS policies and practices. Able to establish and maintain a team atmosphere of communication and collaboration for all that reach out to the Department. Must be self-directed and be sensitive to cultural and linguistic diversity. Must be able to utilize DSM-5-TR to provide diagnoses for older children, adolescents and adults and the crosswalk to the DC-0-5 to provide diagnoses or diagnostic impressions for young children.  Must be able to remain calm and non-defensive with a supportive attitude during stressful, potential crisis, and crisis situations. Must be able to work in an extremely stressful environment where there are considerable mental and emotional demands. Must be able to manage high volumes and unpredictability of work. Must be able to remain flexible and reprioritized according to the changing demands of the day. Maintains a professional in appearance, communications, and actions.  Be able to use excellent interpersonal communication skills. Possess a high level of computer proficiency.   

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation): Normal office environment with multiple interruptions in person and through computer and phone. Travel to outlying sites and other locations as needed. Interacts with employees and members of the public daily. May lift normal office equipment and materials up to 25lbs. Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms, and to assess the wellbeing of members. Able to communicate verbally with members and emergency personnel as needed for daily operations. Hearing ability for communication in persona, phone, and/or other electronic methods. Manual dexterity for typing and writing. Able to stoop, squat, reach, pull, push, stretch, ascend and descend stairs, stand and sit for long periods of time. May be required to work additional hours or days depending on circumstances.
