Perform microbiological and analytical routine testing to support product release, packaging/raw materials release and cleaning verification.

Perform routine analytical testing to ensure that finished beverage product meets quality standards

Responsibilities

• Perform routine microbiological testing in compliance with the predetermined micro sampling plan to support finished product release and validation and to ensure safe operations, compliance with environmental laws, and conformance to PI standards and good manufacturing practices.
• Use microbiological instrumentation such as laminar flow cabinet, micro samples filtration instrument, pH meter, autoclave, incubators, magnetic heaters, etc
• Use packaging materials inspection instrumentation such as burest tester, secure seal tester, micrometer, boucles, etc.
• Perform packaging/raw materials SAP inspection
• Perform instrument calibration and follow up on preventive maintenance
• Maintain the micro data archives and micro samples
• Logging and tracking of microbiological samples
• Document/review microbiological laboratory work using laboratory worksheets that is detailed, timely and in compliance with GLP requirements.
• Order media and laboratory supplies as needed
• Maintain strictest standards of hygiene in laboratory area
• Maintain a safe working environmen
• Maintain adequate levels of supplies to ensure continuity of laboratory operations
• Lead the corrective/preventive action plans regarding out of specs microbiological samples
• Perform instrument qualification/validation.
• Perform routine analytical testing of QA random samples supporting finished product release and validation.
• Use analytical instrumentation such as Carbo-QC, densitometer, pH meter, Refractometer, Torque tester, secure seal tester, etc.
• Perform instrument calibration and follow up on preventive maintenance
• Maintain the data archives and QA samples
• Logging and tracking of QA samples
• Document/review laboratory work using laboratory worksheets that is detailed, timely and in compliance with GLP requirements.
• Monitor compliance to all packaging and raw materials suppliers regarding SQA guidelines and approvals.
• Perform quarterly microbiology proficiency scheme analysis and report results.
• Perform packaging/raw materials SAP inspection.
• Order chemicals and laboratory supplies as needed.-24 Maintain a safe working environment
• Assume other duties as assigned by area management.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or agriculture from recognized university
• 2 years in analytical laboratory experience will be an added value
• Basic computer literacy
• Accuracy with labeling and documentation
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques (handling, transferring)
• Fundamental knowledge of microbiology
