Firmware Engineer Intern / Co-op

## What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Residential Wiring Device division is currently seeking a Firmware Engineering Intern / Co-op.

This position can either be a rotational co-op assignment, or a Summer 2027 internship.

The hourly rate for this position is $22.15 - $27.69 per hour. Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The Firmware Engineering Intern / Co-Op will perform electronic circuit design, both analog and digital, for products related to our Assemblies and Residential Solutions Division.

In this function, you will:

• Contribute to firmware and software development for embedded systems/microcontrollers.
• Support software development using code repositories, code reviews, build servers, and agile methods.
• Stay abreast of market trends and emerging technologies globally, with a particular emphasis on embedded and connected systems, and evaluate their potential impact on Eaton’s business.
• Support the research and development of business cases in the new product development cycle to understand the viability of proposed products in the marketplace.
• Support the enhancement of existing products and services based on evaluations of existing and new technologies per Eaton’s strategic plans.
• Represent Eaton’s interests on councils and committees tasked with developing codes and standards for emerging technologies in which Eaton is investing.
• Support and perform technical evaluations of third-party solutions and assess opportunities to develop partnerships or identify new suppliers.
• Support product certification activities, including UL/CSA.

## Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

• Must be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar from an accredited institution with graduation no later than August 2029
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
