Manager, HR Business Consulting, Nike India

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH  

You will be part of Nike's HR Business Consulting (HRBC) Southeast Asia & India (SEA&I) team, reporting to the Director, HR Business Consulting AP. This role operates as a HR Generalist across a dynamic environment, partnering closely with HR Business Partners, HR Operations, Centers of Excellence, Employee Relations, Employment Legal and business leaders to deliver a seamless, teammate-centric people experience and provide expert guidance on people management and employee matters. 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

We are looking for an experienced and people-focused HR leader to lead the HRBC team in India. This role combines team leadership, HR advice and coaching to people managers, service delivery oversight and stakeholder partnership. In a matrixed, fast-moving environment, you stay curious, adapt quickly, and lean into ambiguity. You will guide a team to ensure consistent and high-quality support across the performance and workplace concerns and manage complex or high-impact matters when leadership judgement is required. 

• Master’s degree or equivalent relevant experience. 

• 10+ years of HR experience across HR generalist roles in shared services and cross-border environments, with strong working knowledge of Employee Relations and HR Operations. HR Business Partnering experience is an advantage. 

• Strong knowledge of India HR practices, labour law and statutory requirements. 

• Proven people leadership, coaching and team development experience. 

• Strong stakeholder management, communication and consulting skills across HR functions and in a multi-cultural environment. 

• Sound judgment and ability to manage sensitive and complex employee matters. 

• Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights. 

• Strong execution, continuous improvement mindset, and building scalable processes 

• Proficiency with HR technology and case management systems. 

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON 

As the Manager, HR Business Consulting, you will lead a team of HR Business Consultants to deliver high-quality HR support, providing expert guidance on complex employee and workplace matters, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights. You will partner across HR and business teams to ensure a seamless employee experience, effective service delivery, operational excellence, and strong capability building while supporting key business and people priorities across India. 

People Leadership & Strategic Initiatives 

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of HR Business Consultants through coaching, capability building, performance management, and workload planning. 

• Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives that require advanced HR expertise, stakeholder management, and change leadership. 

HR Advisory & Coaching 

• Ensure high-quality support for employees and people managers across HR programs, processes and key manager moments throughout the employee lifecycle (e.g. Onboarding, Performance Management, Pay Planning, Offboarding). 

• Provide consultation to People Managers on complex employee relations, performance and workplace matters, support re-org activations, and lead resolution of escalated cases with HRBPs, Employee Relations, Legal and other specialist partners. 

Operational Excellence & Compliance 

• Monitor service performance and leverage insights to enhance employee experience, mitigate risks and drive operational excellence. 

• Provide oversight for in-country HR compliance activities, ensuring adherence to local statutory requirements, regulatory obligations and internal policies. 

• Drive continuous improvement by simplifying processes, strengthening controls, enhancing service delivery, and influencing HR operational excellence across the organization.
