Finance Executive
JLL | Sri Lanka
About the Role
JLL is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Executive to join our finance team. This role is critical in managing vendor relationships, processing invoices, and ensuring smooth payment operations across our operations.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Management
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes including vendor invoice collection, validation, and processing
- Process Goods Receipt Reports (GRR) and coordinate with Financial Shared Services Centre (FSC) for invoice logging and matching
- Verify purchase orders, invoice values, tax codes, and ensure compliance with company policies
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and coordinate with vendors for revised invoices when required
- Manage GRNV (Goods Receipt Not Invoiced) clearance and follow up on overdue items
Payment Processing
- Coordinate weekly vendor payment cycles and prepare payment batches for approval
- Process payments through relevant systems including PeopleSoft for specific categories
- Prepare and distribute payment advices to vendors
- Reconcile vendor outstanding payments and maintain accurate payment records
Coordination & Reporting
- Liaise with site managers for work completion confirmations
- Coordinate with FSC team for GRR submissions and invoice matching
- Prepare monthly billing files and open PO accruals
- Manage accounts receivable tracker updates on a weekly basis
- Upload invoices to Tradeshift platform and maintain proper documentation
- Support audit requirements by providing invoice documentation as needed
Administrative Support
- Manage petty cash float confirmations and settlements
- Maintain organized invoice filing and archiving systems
- Support purchase order reconciliation processes
- Handle ad-hoc finance-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in accounts payable or similar finance role
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and purchase order management
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data processing
- Strong communication skills for vendor and internal stakeholder management
- Ability to work with deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Partially completed or currently pursuing professional accounting qualification (CA/CIMA/ACCA)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Experience with ERP systems (PeopleSoft or similar)
- Knowledge of vendor management systems like Tradeshift
