Description
A specialist medical practice in Potchefstroom is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a doctor's receptionist or medical receptionist, preferably within a private medical practice.
The successful candidate will provide professional and efficient reception and administrative support while ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for patients and their families. Experience working with children and parents would be advantageous.
Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Manage the practice diary and appointments.
- Answer and attend to incoming calls.
- Process cash and credit card payments and issue receipts.
- Manage stock control and order stock when required.
- Create and maintain patient files.
- Provide general administrative support.
- Ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the practice.
- Ensure the reception area is neat, tidy and presentable.
- Maintain efficient and professional patient service.
- Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff and patient information.
- Communicate professionally with patients and families via telephone and WhatsApp.
- Assist with the day-to-day administrative requirements of the practice.
Qualification and Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Previous medical reception experience is essential.
- Previous experience as a doctor's receptionist or within a private medical practice is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a paediatric practice would be advantageous.
- Medical software knowledge is essential.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans, with Afrikaans fluency important.
- Strong computer literacy.

Working hours: Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, 07h00 – 16h00 (Still to be determined)
