Job Description: Sr. Financial Analyst
Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Sr. Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team. Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial data to provide actionable insights for key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain accurate financial models, forecasts, and budgets.
- Collaborate with departments to analyze variances, identify trends, and recommend solutions to support decision-making.
- Conduct performance analysis of financial KPIs and work with leadership to align goals with operational objectives.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing and reporting processes in accordance with finance and accounting standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the financial reporting process.
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and financial strategies that could impact the organization.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and support junior analysts, fostering their growth and development within the finance field.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA/CFA certification is a strong plus).
- 5+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, planning, or accounting.
- Advanced knowledge of financial principles and accounting systems, including GAAP compliance.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and the use of financial software such as Excel, SAP, Oracle, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Day-to-day
- Analyze financial data and prepare monthly management reports for leadership review.
- Collaborate with project managers and department heads to track spending, align on budgets, and forecast financial outcomes.
- Lead budget preparation meetings and ensure alignment across teams.
- Provide insights and recommendations during cross-departmental strategy sessions.
- Regularly review and refine financial models to align with business changes and market trends.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and special projects.
- Contribute to an inclusive and collaborative workplace by actively listening to diverse perspectives and supporting team members in achieving common goals.
- Stay updated on current market trends and emerging financial innovations to drive continuous improvement.
