Senior Financial Analyst

Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing high-level planning, financial analysis, and operational support for our Food and Beverage business unit. This role partners closely with business operations, corporate leadership, and cross-functional teams to analyze data, build reports, deliver insights on financial performance, and support strategic decision-making. Core work includes forecasting, ad-hoc reporting, financial modeling, and the ongoing measurement of key performance indicators to drive process improvements and financial outcomes.

 

The ideal candidate combines financial acumen with data analytics to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations. Experience in Food and Beverage, Retail, or Supply Chain would be preferred. This role requires the ability to build and maintain multi-sheet financial models, partner with business leaders on executive objectives, and operate effectively amid ambiguity and evolving priorities. The analyst will be proficient in Microsoft Excel, have experience analytical software such as Alteryx, Domo, and Workday/Adaptive, and familiar with SQL and databases to pull information.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborates with business operations and cross-functional partners to drive financial outcomes by analyzing financial and operational data, building models, and delivering actionable insights and recommendations.

• Owns financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for assigned business area(s); coordinates the monthly and annual planning cycle (budget, forecast, and actuals) across finance and operations.

• Designs, develops, deploys, and maintains reports, dashboards, and financial models that enable decision-making and visibility across varying levels of leadership.

• Serves as a point of contact for business leaders and operators, answering ad hoc questions and translating complex information into clear business narratives.

• Identifies and drives process improvements, automation, and efficiency gains through unstructured problem solving in partnership with corporate management.

 

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field

• 4+ years of experience in financial, operational, or general business analysis, including FP&A experience

• Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel

• Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles, including a breakdown of the income statement

• Strong analytical, decision-making, project management, and organizational skills, with attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor messaging by audience and build relationships across teams

• Ability to follow through on deliverables while balancing overlapping project timelines

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting a specific business area such as Food and Beverage, Retail, Supply Chain

• Experience with analyses of menus, inventory, labor, COGS, A/B Tests, variances

• Experience with financial modeling, valuation analysis, budgeting, and forecasting

• Experience with relational databases such as Snowflake, MS SQL Server, or MySQL

• Experience with SQL, SAS, Alteryx, or similar data analytics software

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Domo, Power BI, or Tableau

• Experience with a financial planning system such as Workday Adaptive Planning, Hyperion, or NetSuite

• Curiosity and desire to leverage datasets to identify insights and tell compelling business narratives

• Ability to navigate unstructured problem solving and ambiguous situations, with an aptitude and desire to learn

• Comfortable with changing priorities and the evolving nature of a growing business
  

Pay

This is a salaried position starting at $85,000.00(or applicable minimum salary, if higher) and pays up to $117,000.00, based on experience and qualifications.
