• Ensure effective operation and maintenance of building systems, infrastructure, utilities, and facility services.

• Support plant operations through timely response to facility issues, breakdowns, service interruptions, and emerging risks.

• Provide direction and oversight to internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and service providers.

• Manage facility-related work priorities, escalation, communication, and follow-up with plant stakeholders.

• Support building maintenance, space management, housekeeping, tenant services, property maintenance, and related campus services.

• Plan, prioritize, and manage facility projects, replacements, renovations, and infrastructure improvements.

• Coordinate project scope, schedules, budgets, procurement, construction execution, commissioning, and handover.

• Integrate facility requirements with manufacturing equipment, process needs, buildings, utilities, and site infrastructure.

• Monitor project and operational performance using appropriate metrics, dashboards, and standard work.

• Lead continuous improvement using GM Operating System principles, problem solving, standardization, and customer feedback.

• Champion energy efficiency, demand management, sustainability, and resource-conservation opportunities.

• Support emergency preparedness, evacuation and take-shelter programs, incident response, and business continuity.

• Participate in plant leadership, manufacturing engineering, facilities, maintenance, safety, environmental, labor-relations, and supplier forums.

• Build effective relationships with production, maintenance, engineering, environmental, safety, finance, purchasing, contractors, and campus partners.

• Coach, develop, and coordinate facilities team members while promoting accountability, inclusion, and a strong safety culture.

Required Qualifications

• College degree with a major in engineering, facilities management, business, construction management, or a related discipline; equivalent training and experience may be considered.

• Significant experience in facilities, industrial operations, manufacturing, maintenance, construction, utilities, or engineering project management.

• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, budgets, schedules, contractors, and competing priorities.

• Strong knowledge of facility systems, infrastructure, utility operations, maintenance, and regulatory requirements.

• Demonstrated analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

• Proven ability to build effective relationships with customers, team members, suppliers, and cross-functional partners.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and remain accountable for results.

• Ability to work on-site in an active automotive manufacturing environment and respond to operational priorities as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automotive manufacturing or a large industrial campus.

• Experience supporting facilities in a unionized manufacturing environment.

• Experience with asset sustainment, lifecycle planning, capital projects, construction management, or facility reliability.
