Overview
We are partnering with an established flooring organization to identify a hands-on Warehouse Manager for its Indianapolis, Indiana market. This is an onsite leadership role responsible for daily warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, material handling, staffing, and coordination with sales, operations, installation, and purchasing.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily warehouse operations and personnel
• Oversee receiving, storage, picking, staging, loading, transfers, and returns
• Maintain accurate inventory and organized material locations
• Ensure customer and installation orders are staged accurately and on time
• Maintain a clean, organized, efficient, and safe warehouse
• Manage staffing, schedules, productivity, and accountability
• Conduct inventory counts and resolve discrepancies
• Reduce product damage, misplaced materials, and inventory errors
• Coordinate with operations, sales, installation, and purchasing
• Support installer material pickup and installation logistics
• Train and develop warehouse employees
• Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures and safety standards
• Implement standardized warehouse practices with corporate operations leadership
Ideal Background
• 3–5+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experience
• Strong inventory management and material-handling experience
• Experience managing and developing warehouse employees
• Flooring, construction materials, building products, or distribution experience preferred
• Flooring installation or installer scheduling experience strongly preferred
• Forklift and material-handling experience
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse environment
