Scope of Position
This tekmar Regional Sales Manager will be a strategic and driven individual, as part of the tekmar Sales team will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for tekmar Controls across the Upper East USA territory. The role drives profitable growth by leading and supporting manufacturer representative agencies, strengthening relationships with wholesale distributors, contractors, engineers, and other channel partners, and increasing the specification and adoption of tekmar hydronic control solutions.
The Regional Sales Manager serves as the voice of the customer within the business and works closely with internal partners to improve forecasting, market coverage, customer experience, and business results.
This position does not have any direct reports.
This position reports to The National Sales Manager, tekmar This role is remote and is based in Vernon, BC. Canada.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a focused regional sales plan aligned with annual operating plan objectives, market priorities, and tekmar growth initiatives.
- Maintain primary ownership for meeting or exceeding all assigned sales targets, including revenue, growth, margin, and territory performance objectives.
- Lead, educate, motivate, and hold accountable manufacturer representative agencies and their sales teams to improve market coverage and achieve agreed sales targets.
- Establish clear sales targets with the support of the National Sales Manager, with each representative agency, review progress regularly, and provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action where needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale distributors, contractors, engineers, system designers, and key customers throughout the territory.
- Call on contractors and installation professionals to build awareness, strengthen product preference, support proper application of Tekmar solutions, and drive pull-through demand with wholesale partners and reps.
- Identify, qualify, track, and advance project opportunities from planning and specification through quotation, purchase, and post-sale follow-up.
- Use CRM tools consistently to maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, customer activity, sales forecasts, and territory plans.
- Analyze regional sales performance, market conditions, competitive activity, pricing, and customer feedback to identify risks and growth opportunities.
- Prepare regular forecasts and business updates for the National Sales Manager, including progress against plan, key opportunities, risks, and required support.
- Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Pricing, Customer Service, Logistics, and Technical Support to improve product positioning, service levels, and customer outcomes.
- Support product launches, customer and representative training, pricing initiatives, and targeted demand-generation programs.
- Represent tekmar and Watts professionally at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and training sessions.
- Proactively resolve customer and channel concerns while maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Promote a customer-focused, accountable, collaborative, and continuous-improvement mindset in all business activities.
- Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the National Sales Manager or Company management.

- Travel Requirements: 60%. Requires a valid driver's license, and Passport, and ability to travel throughout Canada and the US as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive outside sales experience, preferably within hydronic heatingHVAC, plumbing wholesale, building controls, manufacturing, or a related technical market.
- Demonstrated success developing a territory, growing sales through independent manufacturer representatives, and building productive channel relationships.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical product concepts and position solutions for customer and project needs.
- Experience managing long sales cycles, project pipelines, forecasts, pricing discussions, and account plans.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM or automated sales reporting tools.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, field-based role while collaborating effectively across functions and level
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
- Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including a criminal record check and sensitivities check, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of hydronic heating systems, HVAC controls, plumbing systems, or building automation.
- Established relationships within the Upper East USA wholesale, contractor, engineering, or representative community.
- Experience delivering technical product training and supporting new product introductions.

Working Conditions
While performing the job duties, you will be working remotely in an office environment. You may be required to occasionally travel to and work in the office at the Vernon BC office at 5100 Silverstar rd. location for meetings, trainings, or as otherwise required by Company management.

Pay Range
The expected salary range for this position is $115,000 - $130,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law. There is a commissions plan attached to this role
