Accountant

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Accountant to join a well-established and reputable financial services organisation.  This position is ideally suited to a junior accounting professional with at least two years of practical finance experience who is looking to broaden their accounting exposure and further develop their career within a professional, fast-paced environment. Working closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including journals, reconciliations, general ledger processing and month-end activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounting transactions and journals accurately, up to trial balance.
• Perform monthly bank and cashbook reconciliations.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and ensure accurate allocation of expenses.
• Prepare intercompany and interdivisional loan account reconciliations.
• Ensure transactions are correctly allocated across accounts, cost centres and entities.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end reporting and general ledger maintenance.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Financial Controllers, Advisers and Regional Managers, to resolve accounting queries.
• Provide financial information and ad hoc support to the wider finance team.
• Ensure accounting activities are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
