About the Role

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Vice President, Corporate Strategy to play a critical role in shaping the company’s long-term direction and driving enterprise-wide impact.

Corporate Strategy sits at the center of Disney’s most important decisions—partnering with senior leadership, segments, and the Board to define strategic priorities, evaluate growth opportunities, and inform capital allocation decisions across the enterprise while positioning Disney for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

Lead High-Impact Strategic Initiatives

  • Own and lead complex, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end, partnering closely with segment leadership
  • Build alignment across the organization to ensure strategies are translated into clear execution plans
  • Provide a clear, independent point of view to senior leadership on strategic decisions

Shape Enterprise Strategy & Capital Allocation

  • Lead strategic planning efforts that establish the enterprise outlook and inform capital allocation decisions
  • Partner with Finance, Investor Relations, and business leaders to align on targets, financial scenarios, and long-term priorities
  • Develop perspectives on growth opportunities, risks, and trade-offs impacting the company

Drive Portfolio & Growth Strategy

  • Evaluate Disney’s portfolio through strategic and financial lenses, identifying opportunities to enhance value and mitigate risk
  • Identify incremental and transformational growth opportunities across businesses and adjacent sectors
  • Assess long-term business performance and enable decisions that improve returns and enterprise value

Evaluate Inorganic Opportunities

  • Identify and evaluate M&A, partnerships, and new business opportunities across core and adjacent spaces
  • Partner with Corporate Development and external advisors to support decision-making and execution
  • Assess opportunities across current businesses, adjacencies, and new growth areas

Deliver Market & Competitive Insight

  • Lead competitive analysis and benchmarking to inform enterprise strategy
  • Develop a clear view of the evolving landscape and Disney’s ability to shape and win in the market
  • Identify emerging trends (e.g., technology, consumer behavior) and translate into strategic implications

Partner Across the Enterprise

  • Collaborate closely with segments, Investor Relations, FP&A, and Corporate Development to drive alignment
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, influencing critical business decisions
  • Build strong relationships across the organization to enable effective decision-making and execution

Lead and Develop Talent

  • Lead and develop a high-performing strategy team with clear ownership and accountability
  • Foster a culture grounded in collaboration, accountability, and continuous development
  • Provide mentorship and growth opportunities to build the next generation of strategy leaders

Basic Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in corporate strategy, consulting, investment banking, or private equity
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-level strategic initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Strong financial acumen, including modeling, valuation, and capital allocation analysis
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including executive-level storytelling and presentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in media, entertainment, or technology industries
  • Background in corporate strategy, business development, or investment roles
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred

What Sets You Apart

  • Ability to translate complexity into clear, actionable insights and decisions
  • Strong business judgment with a focus on long-term value creation and outcomes
  • Proven ability to build alignment across diverse stakeholders in a matrixed organization
  • A collaborative, low-ego leader who thrives in a high-performance, team-oriented environment
