Job Description
About the role:
As the Quality Digital & Innovation, Principal Analyst, you will play a key role in driving digital transformation and continuous improvement across Quality operations. In this role, you'll partner with Quality, IT, Digital, and cross-functional business teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, implement innovative technology solutions, and improve operational efficiency through automation, analytics, and standardized business processes.
You'll leverage your expertise in IT service management, Agile methodologies, process improvement, and automation technologies to enhance service delivery, improve customer satisfaction, and support Takeda's commitment to quality, compliance, and operational excellence. Your work will directly contribute to Takeda's mission of delivering Better Health and a Brighter Future to patients worldwide.
How you will contribute:
Lead business process analysis, process mapping, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and digital innovation across Quality and business operations.
Partner with Quality, Digital, IT, and business stakeholders to define business requirements and deliver technology-enabled solutions.
Apply ITIL best practices to improve IT service management processes, incident management, change management, and service delivery.
Configure and optimize ServiceNow solutions to improve operational workflows and user experience.
Lead change management initiatives supporting system implementations, business transformation, and organizational adoption.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and aligned with business priorities.
Analyze operational data, identify trends, and develop recommendations that improve quality, efficiency, compliance, and customer experience.
Promote Agile methodologies and continuous improvement practices across project teams.
Develop and maintain process documentation, knowledge management materials, and standard operating procedures.
Coach and mentor junior analysts while serving as a subject matter expert for business process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify risks, resolve issues, and implement sustainable business solutions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring to Takeda:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related discipline required.
Minimum of 6+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, IT Service Management, Digital Transformation, Quality Systems, or a related field required.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of ITIL frameworks and IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices required; ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow for service management, workflow automation, and process optimization required.
Experience leading business process improvement, continuous improvement, and organizational change initiatives required.
Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management principles required, with experience leading Agile or hybrid project teams preferred.
Experience implementing automation technologies and digital solutions to improve operational efficiency and business performance required.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret complex business processes and data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions required.
Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and influence cross-functional teams required.
Experience working independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple projects and competing priorities required.
Experience supporting Quality, Digital, IT, or other regulated business functions within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or similarly regulated industry preferred.
Experience with knowledge management programs, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) preferred.
Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, or provide technical guidance to junior team members preferred

Indoor working conditions
Will work around moving equipment and machinery
May be required to work in controlled environments requiring special safety gear or gowning; will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet, and body. No make-up, jewelry, nail polish, or artificial fingernails may be worn in the manufacturing environment.
May be required to work in confined spaces/areas.
Some Clean Room and/or cool/hot storage conditions.
May be exposed to and must not be allergic to cephalosporin.
Must be able to work non-traditional work hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Must be able to work overtime as required.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and follow detailed written and oral instructions in English

$103,500.00 - $162,690.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
