School Social Worker | IEP Caseload Experience Required | Olympia Fields, IL
Every child in a classroom is carrying something. Some carry it quietly. Some act out. Some stop showing up. A School Social Worker is often the only adult in the building who is trained to see what is really going on and do something about it.
This role is for that person.
A school district in Olympia Fields, Illinois is looking for a School Social Worker to support elementary students through the 2026 to 2027 school year. This is a contract position starting August 21, 2026 and running through June 12, 2027.
What you get:
- $50 to $55 an hour
- Monday through Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- 36 hours a week with no weekend work
- A caseload of 15 to 25 students so you can actually do the work well
What you will be doing:
- Providing individual and group counseling to elementary students
- Managing a caseload of students with Individualized Education Programs
- Participating in IEP meetings, evaluations and student support plan development
- Connecting students and families to community resources and support services
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators and multidisciplinary teams
- Conducting assessments and maintaining documentation in compliance with IDEA
What you need to bring:
- Master's degree in Social Work
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with School Social Worker endorsement
- Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes and special education regulations
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
