Description
Candidate must have knowledge in electromechanical products and automated machines, strong verbal and written communication skills and an understanding of engineering principles, documentation, and processes.
Job Responsibilities:
Create detailed step-by-step work instructions and assembly drawings from sketches, engineering notes and/or current manufacturing processes.
Create testing procedures for electromechanical assemblies based on current process and engineering input.
Perform basic product design modifications to 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks software.
Maintain documentation to support existing assemblies.
Provide technical support information to sales and application staff.
Electromechanical troubleshooting.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
In process of 4-year degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Robotic, Mechatronics, Systems, Industrial Engineering or equivalent employment experience.
Solid Works experience creating parts, part drawings, assemblies and assembly drawings.
Proper use of precision measuring equipment such as caliper and micrometers.
Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software.
Perform basic engineering calculations in areas such as mechanical and electrical fundamentals and tolerance analysis.
Support for maintaining schedules, costs, bills of material, design, material and system level documentation of assigned projects.
Assembly support, testing and troubleshooting of assigned projects.
Interface with sales, applications, customer service and vendors.
Strong listening skills.
Ability to communicate ideas, requirements, and issues clearly and concisely in verbal and written methods.
Physical Capabilities and Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job the employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Compensation Details: The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $22.00 per hour depending on experience.
