Description
Senior Mechanical Engineer, PE (Industrial & Process)
Location: 100% Remote (Must hold or obtain an Oregon PE)
Compensation: $140,000 – $150,000 Base Salary + 10% Annual Bonus
Work Authorization: US Citizens or Permanent Residents only. No visa sponsorship or Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements.
About the Role
Enjoy complete flexibility with a 100% remote role while tackling complex, high-impact industrial projects. We are seeking a versatile Senior Mechanical Engineer with an active Oregon PE (or quick reciprocity) to deliver practical, heavy-duty engineering solutions for process manufacturing facilities across the region—all from your home office.
Key Responsibilities
· Process & Piping Design: Develop P&IDs, perform flow/pressure/heat transfer calculations, and size piping, pumps, and valves.
· Mechanical Systems: Execute force, power, and structural calculations for fluid, pneumatic, and material handling systems.
· Client Leadership & Field Visits: Drive project scoping and proposals remotely, with occasional site visits to coordinate directly with plant owners and trade teams.
· Estimating: Build comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs) and project cost estimates.
Requirements & Qualifications
· Credentials: Active Oregon PE license required (or licensed in another state with immediate Oregon reciprocity).
· Eligibility: Must be authorized to work for any US employer without sponsorship. No Corp-to-Corp (C2C) options available.
· Experience: Strong background in industrial manufacturing or process facility design. Hands-on field experience is a big plus.
· Remote Drive: Proven ability to manage projects independently, communicate clearly with clients online, and deliver results remotely.
Ideal Candidate Profile
· Great Fit: Engineers who excel in remote work, understand plant constructability (sawmills, wood products, heavy manufacturing), and enjoy client interaction.
· Not a Fit: Standard commercial HVAC/plumbing MEP backgrounds.
