Job Title: Family Nurse Practitioner (PRN, Weekends Only)
Location: Prince George County Facility, 3000 Lottsford Vista Road, Bowie, MD

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct history and physical examinations.
- Review laboratory results and monitor blood levels.
- Manage sick calls and prepare discharges, including physician orders and prescriptions if authorized.
- Provide support and resources to the adult residential program and detox as needed.
- Coordinate with the primary care physician and psychiatrist, with support from nursing staff when appropriate.
- Work with nursing staff to ensure medications are cost-effective for clients post-discharge and complete prior authorization requests as necessary.
- Maintain accurate client documentation and follow treatment plan objectives.
- Evaluate clients' behavioral and emotional needs, providing appropriate responses, including crisis intervention.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly physical environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Nurse Practitioner Certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Addiction Medicine and/or family practice medicine preferred.
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred.
EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION: Due to the nature of behavioral healthcare work and our commitment to ensuring client safety, candidates selected for hire must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and any required state-mandated clearances. Employment is contingent upon meeting all screening requirements in accordance with federal, state, and accrediting-body regulations.
