The primary purpose of the Systems Support Specialist is to provide support and maintenance to all computer hardware and applications that serve the County. Responsible for day-to-day operations of computer support and maintenance. Answer all helpdesk calls. Perform user account creation and access management using Microsoft Active Directory Services. Software/Hardware/Network configuration and troubleshooting. Printer/peripheral delivery and installation. Prepare workstations for new deployments. Prepare user profiles for all team members. Migrate data from old to new computers. Incident management by use of IT ticketing/work order system. Thoroughly document issues and any changes made to Information Technology Systems within the IT tracking system to be referenced when needed. Work with stake holders on hardware/application change requests and communicate project status to required parties. Maintain inventory of all IT equipment.
- Knowledge of computer hardware/software and related information technology devices.
- Strong knowledge of Office 365 applications.
- Experience providing technical support over the phone and recording details into an IT ticketing system such as BMC Track-It.
- Experience supporting and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory Services.
- Experience in the configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network switching equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to independently resolve problems through system analysis and/or troubleshooting procedures
This is a part-time position limited to 20 hours per week in person.
