Business Introduction
At GSK, we are looking for a strategic leader to head the Oncology & Hematology Business Unit across the Chile, Peru and Ecuador cluster, with Chile as the primary country and business focus. This role is accountable for business strategy, commercial performance, and the portfolio growth agenda, working closely with Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, and other cross-functional partners across the cluster.
Position Summary
This is a high-impact executive leadership opportunity to lead the strategy and execution of the Oncology & Hematology business across the cluster, with primary accountability for Chile and regional collaboration with Peru and Ecuador. The successful candidate will translate portfolio priorities into sustainable results, strengthen the competitive position of the business, and help accelerate patient access to innovative therapies.
We are seeking a leader who combines strategic vision, executive presence, and strong commercial acumen with a practical, hands-on approach. The role requires deep understanding of the Chilean market, the ability to adapt strategies to the healthcare environments of Peru and Ecuador, and the resilience to mobilize cross-functional teams and drive pragmatic, incremental transformation while maintaining a strong focus on performance and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the integrated strategy for the Oncology & Hematology Business Unit across the Chile, Peru and Ecuador cluster, maintaining Chile as the primary country and aligning with corporate, regional, and portfolio priorities.
- Provide integrated leadership across Marketing and Sales, ensuring that brand and portfolio strategies translate into effective execution and measurable outcomes across the cluster.
- Use market intelligence, commercial analytics, customer insights, and competitive information from Chile, Peru, and Ecuador to set priorities, anticipate risks, and capture growth opportunities.
- Partner with Medical, Market Access, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, and other functions to support successful commercialization and sustainable patient access across the cluster.
- Understand and navigate the Chilean healthcare environment in depth, including access, reimbursement, and funding mechanisms for innovative and high-cost therapies, while incorporating relevant market realities from Peru and Ecuador.
- Build high-performing teams, establish clear priorities and KPIs, remove execution barriers, and promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across countries.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related field.
- Significant senior-level experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry.
- Proven experience leading a business unit, franchise, therapeutic area, or an equivalent commercial organization.
- Strong commercial leadership experience across Marketing and Sales, with accountability for business results and the ability to lead in complex, matrixed, and cross-functional environments and use data and analytics in decision-making.
- Deep knowledge of the Chilean pharmaceutical and healthcare market, including access, reimbursement, and funding mechanisms.
- Advanced English proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in multinational pharmaceutical companies or complex regional/global environments.
- Knowledge of Ley Ricarte Soto and its implications for access to innovative and high-cost therapies.
- Experience engaging with public and private healthcare stakeholders in Chile.
- Experience with product launches, market development, or portfolio expansion.
- Experience collaborating with Peru and/or Ecuador, or in cluster or regional roles with direct knowledge of Chile.
