- Oversee a team of buyers in charge of procuring components for the USOPs products and spares, and responsible for purchase orders execution, management, and compliance
- Leads the team in executing best practices for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including supplier quality, on time delivery, service, and compliance
- Maintain supplier relationships and lead complex problem solving initiatives and negotiations
- Develop strategic plans to address delayed shipments or discontinued products and components
- Partners with production planning, supply chain and master scheduling to recommend supply chain solutions and strategic/tactical plans based on business data, commodity, and product knowledge
- Maintains strong communication with engineering and manufacturing to address shortages and obsolescence issues
- Partners with finance and master scheduling to optimize inventory, reduce excess, and minimize price variances
- Drives cost reduction strategies and lead time reduction initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in supply chain operations and supply chain improvements in complex manufacturing environment; strong preference for experience in semiconductor equipment industry or other complex, high-mix, low-volume products
- Experience with multiple aspects of advanced supply chain operations, including:
- Supply and demand management effectiveness (upturn and downturns)
- Achieving cost reductions
- Strong leadership, negotiation and people management skills
- Lead thru curiosity and continuous improvements.
- Empower staff and talent growth thru delegating; coaching; and developing skills extending outside job description boundaries.
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- High proficiency in MS Excel
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI or other business intelligence/analytical tools/services is a plus
- Experience with SAP ERP system is a plus
- Should enjoy a challenging and fast paced environment.
- Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity, identify gaps, and implement innovative solutions to increase operational efficiency
- Self-driven, independent, yet a strong team player.
- Creative, innovative, and resourceful with a passion for speed, agility, simplification and proactive action
