Please note: The salary range above represents this position’s earning potential. The anticipated hiring range for this position will be $101,474 to $164,367, based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic professional with 5 or more years of experience managing staff and working in revenue cycle management, including medical billing, coding, insurance claims, Medicaid regulations, quality assurance, and use of electronic health records. A certification in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management is preferred.
- Supervision of quality assurance, billing, medical credentialing, and medical records staff
- Practice Management is about creating systems and processes that empower front line HHS employees to deliver exceptional care to our community.
- Oversight of Department medical billing and documentation compliance
- Management of medical credentialing process
- Maximizing revenue in collaboration with HHS Fiscal Billing Team, senior leadership, and program managers.
- Monitoring the revenue cycle beginning with client registration to reimbursement.
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal billing, coding, and revenue processing laws and regulations.
- Electronic Health Record system ownership
Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience working in revenue cycle management, including medical billing, coding, insurance claims, Medicaid regulations, quality assurance, and use of electronic health records.
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Note: Based upon legislative requirements, some positions may be subject to different minimum qualifications.
- Certification in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management
- Experience in local government public health and behavioral health medical billing.
- Experience interacting and contracting with health insurance companies.
