Base Salary $131,108 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity

The Gadigal Centre is the University of Sydney's dedicated student centre for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, providing academic, pastoral and cultural support services to Indigenous students to help them achieve their full potential.
The Gadigal Centre is dedicated to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students throughout their university journey. As the Student Success Manager, you will play a key leadership role in enhancing academic success, student engagement and retention outcomes through culturally responsive support services and programs. Working closely with students, academic leaders and professional staff across the University, you will help create an inclusive and empowering environment that enables Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to thrive.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
provide culturally safe, holistic student success support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
lead academic success, student engagement and retention initiatives across the Gadigal Centre
oversee learning support programs, scholarships and student support services to improve student outcomes
work closely with students, Associate Deans Indigenous, faculties and University support services
analyse and report on student engagement, retention and academic progress data to inform service improvement
lead, support and develop staff delivering student engagement, advancement, learning support and student success services
support the coordination of events, programs and opportunities that enhance the student experience and strengthen community connections.
About you
demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies, cultures and contemporary issues
experience supporting students, preferably within a tertiary education environment
demonstrated experience leading and developing staff and fostering high-performing teams
experience using data and reporting tools, including Power BI, CRM systems and other student management platforms
tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
confirmation of Aboriginality and a current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one.
