Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Visitor Assistance in Burr Ridge, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of facility buildings, access points, perimeter areas, parking locations, and critical infrastructure to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors and contractors, maintaining visitor records, and reporting access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate site representatives and emergency responders as directed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications while reporting maintenance, environmental, and security-related concerns to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
