Job Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst of Finance and Reimbursement is responsible for compiling, analyzing and reporting the Department's data gathering, processing, and analysis from numerous financial systems to support Federal and New York State reimbursement reporting and audits. Senior Financial Analyst of Finance and Reimbursement also participates in the preparation and submission of the Medicare Cost Report and New York State Institutional Cost Report and assists with regulatory audits, and special projects as needed. This position will support all hospital entities within the system but may predominantly have a focus on a specific MHS entity or entities. This is a hybrid position.
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Health Administration Required - Masters Preferred
- 3+ years of relevant work experience required
- HFMA Certifications - CHFP & CSAF are a plus
- Advanced training in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query, pivot tables, financial modeling, large dataset analysis, reporting automation, and dashboard development Required
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, large dataset analysis, pivot tables, complex formulas, and reporting automation.
- Experienced with working in Epic AR and patient information
- Experienced working with INFOR GL is a plus
- Proficiency with databases such as Tableau, Tableau Prep or similar
- Clarity and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) & SQL coding is a plus but not required
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
