POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Business Planning Analyst is responsible for aligning demand (Sales Plan) and supply (Operations Plan) across a 21-month planning horizon.
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of business requirements to effectively represent the interests of the Business Group (BG). The Business Planning Analyst serves as the key interface and consultant between business stakeholders and planning system, ensuring that business requirements are translated into effective planning system designs and implementations. Success in this position depends on a strong commitment to data quality, deep expertise in planning systems and capacity models, and a thorough understanding of products, customers, and end-to-end planning processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP)
- Analyse weekly demand, capacity, feasible sales (gaps) and inventory projection
- Identify root causes for feasible sales gaps and pro-actively propose and drive actions to close these gaps
in close cooperation with BG, Demand Management and Product Planning & Fulfilment organisation
- Protect the financial performance of the BG by identifying potential supply chain issues
- Analyse the weekly S&OP and address any inconsistencies to the relevant Nexperia internal contacts
- Review inventory projection as result of demand and factory output projection
- Orchestrate the quarterly operational review process between BGs, Finance, Factories and T&O
- Drive monthly S&OP cycle and create loading scenarios for internal and external factories
- Take over ownership for S&OP critical supply chain parameters in planning system aligned with business rules
- Reflect capacity models and statement relevant information in planning system
- Be accountable for the execution of the loading projection in the operating plan according to the agreed loading target
- Manage inventory planning, including safety stock and pre-build target setting, and perform inventory gap analyses to ensure target attainment
- Advise Demand Managers of variances between existing forecasts, plans and actuals
- Collaborate with Product Planning & Fulfilment to develop and execute action plans that address gaps between requested and confirmed customer delivery dates
- Provide management summary and drives the decision-making process
Change Management Support (Industrial)
- Implement sourcing strategy in S&OP process in partnership with BG Operations
- Drive execution of buffer builds to support transfers
Continuous Improvement and Process Excellence
- Drive continuous process and performance improvements to optimize the S&OP process and support Business Groups in achieving a competitive advantage in the marketplace
- Document, standardize, and automate planning processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability
SKILLS /COMPETENCIES
Hard Skills:
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
- Experience working with SAP/BW, o9, or similar supply chain planning systems.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate and manage highly complex business situations and apply sound business acumen to drive effective decision-making
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong negotiation and influencing abilities
- Strong relationship management, partnering, and consulting skills
- Strong sense of ownership, with the ability to work independently and consistently deliver high-quality and reliable outcomes
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, demand planning, supply planning, or operations planning
