The role
- Own the strategic direction of RAC's Motoring Centre of Excellence, aligning Auto Advice, Technical Trainers, mobile operations and product insight into one cohesive function
- Provide end-to-end leadership of the mobile services network — workforce planning, logistics, performance and safety
- Build RAC's reputation as WA's most trusted source of automotive and technical expertise
- Own the growth agenda across call and advisory channels — sales conversion, cross-sell, product referrals and member lifetime value
- Optimise channel performance through improved triage, call flows and advisory capability
- Manage and report on financial outcomes for your area of accountability
- Establish a centralised "Motoring Tech Hub," integrating technical experts to lift technical capability and training consistency across the frontline
- Partner with Product and Strategy teams on new motoring products and services, from research through to launch and hypercare.
- Deliver against Member, Financial, Safety, People and Compliance metrics
- Build strong relationships across L&D, Product, Strategy, Industry, Group and Operations to drive transformation outcomes
- Build and lead an engaged, high-performing team
About you
- Senior leadership experience in the automotive industry — essential
- Proven leadership of teams, preferably complex, multi-channel operations (field, phone, digital and/or F2F)
- Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of driving growth and improving performance
- Experience leading field-based or distributed workforces (e.g. mobile, service networks)
- Skilled at building integrated operating models and scalable teams
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, internally and externally
- Degree in business, commerce or a related technical discipline, or equivalent significant experience
