IT Business Partner – Fixed Term Contract

Location: Fully Remote with travel across the UK as required (typically 1-2 times per month). Candidates must be UK based.

Contract: Fixed Term Contract (2 Years)

Salary: £47,035 per annum plus £4,500 car allowance

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Business Partner to join our IT team on a fixed term basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology and business, helping to shape solutions that support organisational goals while delivering positive outcomes for stakeholders across the business.

As an IT Business Partner, you will act as the key link between technical teams and business users, ensuring requirements are understood, documented and delivered effectively. You will coordinate IT activities across a variety of projects, manage stakeholder relationships through periods of change, and support successful project delivery from concept through to implementation.

About the Role:

As an IT Business Partner, you will support the successful delivery of IT projects and business change initiatives. You will work closely with technical teams, stakeholders and operational colleagues to ensure solutions meet business requirements and align with wider organisational objectives.

·       Act as the link between technical teams and non-technical users, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and solutions are accurately implemented

·       Lead the coordination of IT activities across projects from concept through to delivery

·       Serve as account manager for key stakeholders during periods of IT-driven change

·       Build, monitor and adapt project plans to meet changing business requirements

·       Ensure alignment between IT projects and wider business strategy

·       Capture, define and document system requirements and enhancements

·       Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and secure stakeholder sign-off

·       Deliver structured handovers to business-as-usual teams including clear documentation and process guidance

 

Key Criteria:

·       Demonstrated experience in end-to-end project delivery

·       Comfortable discussing technical concepts with developers while translating information for business users

·       Strong communication skills with the ability to build and manage internal and external relationships

·       Familiarity with SQL and process mapping tools such as Visio

·       Logical, analytical and detail-oriented approach

·       Self-motivated, organised and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively

·       A full UK driving licence is desirable, but not essential

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
