Job Description:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, debug, and thoroughly document basic software systems or application programs.
- Solve technical problems through in-depth analysis and innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address intricate project requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve intricate software-related issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to coding standards, best practices, and established development methodologies.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a cutting-edge approach.
- May work with higher-level software developers for more complex projects.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience in software development, computer engineering, or related position.
- Advanced or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field and 2 or more years of experience preferred.
- Certifications in coding programs such as Python, JavaScript, or C++ preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must demonstrate analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Strong technical computer programming and trouble-shooting skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.
Work Environment:
- Work requires frequent exposure to manufacturing facilities with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
- Ability to sit comfortably for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability for occasional travel as the job may require visiting customers and project sites.
