The Role
We are seeking an experienced Associate / Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design and technical delivery for major multidisciplinary projects in the Middle East.
The role will focus on developing and reviewing mechanical designs, leading design activities and coordinating mechanical services with other disciplines to deliver technically robust and compliant solutions.
The Ideal Candidate
- 12+ years of relevant mechanical engineering design experience.
- Strong consultancy experience delivering medium to large-scale building/infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience leading mechanical design from concept through detailed design and tender stages.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, chilled water systems, ventilation, heating, plumbing and drainage, and fire protection systems.
- Experience preparing and reviewing design calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and technical submissions.
- Strong multidisciplinary coordination experience with architectural, structural, electrical and other engineering disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of Middle East design experience, preferably with Saudi/GCC projects.
- Strong knowledge of relevant international standards, codes and Middle East regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM and relevant mechanical design/calculation software.
- Strong technical leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Professional registration/chartership would be advantageous.
