We are looking for an Assistant Accountant - Finance & Accounting to join our Finance team. This role is for India and UK operations and ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working with financial transactions, vendor management, reconciliations, and compliance processes. The position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely processing of financial transactions while supporting internal controls and operational efficiency.
Name of Position: Assistant Accountant - Finance & Accounting
What You’ll Do:
▪ Manage vendor creation, vendor master maintenance, and vendor documentation in compliance with company policies.
▪ Verify, process, and post supplier invoices accurately and within established timelines.
▪ Handle daily payment batch processing, payment file preparation, and banking-related transactions.
▪ Share payment confirmations and resolve payment-related queries from vendors and internal stakeholders.
▪ Perform vendor, bank, and general ledger account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
▪ Review and process overseas Statements of Account (SOA) and coordinate with overseas offices regarding outstanding balances and payment matters.
▪ Verify petty cash vouchers and supporting documents to ensure compliance with company policies.
▪ Maintain proper accounting records, supporting documents, and audit trails for all transactions.
▪ Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting procedures, and statutory compliance requirements.
▪ Support month-end closing activities, audits, and financial reporting requirements.
▪ Coordinate effectively with vendors, operations teams, overseas offices, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
▪ Continuously identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.

What You Bring:
• B.Com / M.Com in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounting, preferably in Accounts Payable, Vendor Management, or General Accounting.
• Basic working knowledge of accounting software such as JD Edwards, CargoWise (CW), Tally, or similar ERP systems.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial controls.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with vendors, operations teams, and overseas offices.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and confidentiality.
