This position is based in Lake Orion, Michigan, supporting dedicated transportation operations for General Motors. We are seeking a highly organized Office Supervisor to oversee the daily administrative functions of the operation while supporting drivers, dispatch, customers, and operational leadership. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, customer communication, and overall office efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily office operations and administrative personnel
- Ensure accurate completion of customer reports, operational documentation, payroll, billing, and driver records
- Serve as a liaison between operations, drivers, customers, Human Resources, Payroll, and Corporate departments
- Support daily transportation operations through reporting, data entry, scheduling, and issue resolution
- Monitor attendance records, employee documentation, and personnel files
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, orientation, and administrative support for new hires
- Maintain compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and DOT documentation standards
- Track and report key operational metrics related to service, staffing, attendance, and performance
- Support customer communication and help resolve service or administrative concerns
- Ensure office records, files, and documentation are maintained accurately and confidentially
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and office efficiency
- Assist leadership with audits, special projects, and operational reporting as needed
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to office staff
Qualifications
- 2+ years of leadership experience in administrative, office management, logistics, transportation, or operations support roles
- Previous experience supervising office staff preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Experience with payroll, reporting, data entry, or transportation documentation preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
