Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Four (4)+ years of accounting experience, with experience in cash accounting, treasury, or cash management
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, cash management, and internal controls
- Experience preparing cash forecasts and analyzing cash flow
- Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments
- Advanced Excel skills: experience with ERP and accounting systems preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all cash-related activities, including cash receipt postings, disbursements, bank activity, transfers, and reconciliations.
- Hire, train, coach, and manage performance of assigned staff in managing and processing daily cash-related activities
- Prepare and maintain weekly cash forecasts, analyzing cash inflows, outflows, and anticipated liquidity needs.
- Monitor daily cash balances and banking activity and identify variances, discrepancies, or potential cash flow issues.
- Review bank and cash account reconciliations, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved timely.
- Collaborate closely with Accounting, Billing, Accounts Payable, Development, and other cross-functional teams to coordinate cash activity, resolve issues, and improve processes.
- Partner with Billing and Accounts Receivable teams to monitor collections and forecast expected cash receipts.
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable to understand upcoming disbursements and incorporate payment activity into cash forecasts.
- Maintain accurate cash schedules, supporting documentation, and cash-related accounting records.
- Maintain and update cash handling policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable regulations.
- Monitor adherence to established cash controls and recommend enhancements to strengthen processes and mitigate risk.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including cash reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare cash-related reports and analyses for management and provide insights into cash trends and liquidity.
- Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve cash management and accounting processes.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing cash-related documentation and responding to audit requests.
- Perform other accounting and cash management responsibilities as assigned
Hours: Full Time, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
Compensation: $66,560 based on experience and education.
